Security

Your company's records, walled off from everyone else's.

Orbit is built for many pool companies on one platform. The rule that matters most is that no company can ever see another's data, and that rule is enforced in the database, not in the screens.

Isolation in the database

Every table carries the company it belongs to, and the database itself refuses any read or write across companies. A bug in a screen cannot leak data, because the screen never had access in the first place.

Encrypted in transit and at rest

Every connection runs over TLS. Data and photos are encrypted on disk by the hosting platform.

Card data never touches Orbit

Payments run through Stripe. Card numbers go to Stripe directly; Orbit stores only the reference and the result.

Roles and permissions

Owner, supervisor and technician roles. The owner decides whether supervisors see money and edit timesheets. Techs see routes and stops, never money.

Audit log

Who changed what, when, kept for two years and readable by the owner on Business. Chemical logs cannot be deleted by anyone, and every edit lands in the audit log.

Your data is yours

A full export of every record and photo from Settings on Business, or on request from support. Delete the company and all of its data from the account page; deletion completes within 30 days.

Integrations held server-side

QuickBooks and Stripe connections live on the server, per company, never in a browser or a phone. Disconnect any time.

Monitoring

Errors in the dashboard and the field app are reported to us as they happen. Reports carry the account identifiers we need to find the problem; names, emails and record contents are stripped out.

Offline on the phone

Logs made without signal are stored on the device and synced on return. Signing out clears them.

Account lifecycle

Records are kept for the life of the account. When a subscription lapses the data stays so the company can resume. An account that stays unpaid for six months is scheduled for deletion, with three emails of warning and a window to cancel. Owners can delete their company at any time; technicians and office users can delete their own account from inside the app.

Reporting a problem

Add your clients and your techs, run a week. If it does not earn its place in the truck, nothing to cancel and nothing to pay.
